Skype runs great on 2.2.... and I'm running the boring leaked build from a few months ago... not some turbocharged developer ROM.

and 2.3 just gets released and people want it already
people need to rememeber android is new,, carried over many platforms,,,
its no boring apple with only one phone,,,
if anyone didnt think there would be growing pains with this OS,, need to have another look,,
and if your GPS doesnt work,, send the phone back as my phone is just over a month old and GPS works fine,, only lag is with bloomberg app so far,,,
so there is definetly a fix,,,
boohoo on here isnt going to do you a ounce of good,,,
I wonder if samsung will be horrible with support on the nexus s

If you want 2.2 go find a custom ROM. Otherwise you can wait until AT&T gets around to giving you a software update on a phone they already sold that has features like free tethering they don't want you to have. Good luck with that.
Maybe I wouldn't be so.mad if samsung would quit worrying about new phones and would put some support into current models.
and what makes you think they havnt been,, just maybe, when new FW gets released,, it will work properlly and no bugs,, i would prefer that then the option of release earlier and make my phone crap,,,
as there is no problems with my handset what so ever
(clears throat) (shuffles feet)
Be excellent to one another.
Improved copy & paste is reason alone to desire 2.3. Some of those other items could also be of value to us Captivate owners, however.
In twelve months I will be phone/carrier shopping. Two names to cross off my list are ATT and samsung.
I don't really mind at&t's network, but I feel like my next phone, if it is android HAS to be stock android. Not so much to avoid the bloatware, but to get the updates and support from google. Samsung probably screwed up with the galaxy s line, but i doubt that the nexus s will have the gps or lag issues of the galaxy s. I hope google wouldn't settle for something like this in their next flagship phone.
