Sprint Newsroom | HTC EVO Shift? 4G fact sheet
Regarding the processor, it's not simply a numbers game. The next-gen 800mhz processor on this thing blows the EVO's first-gen 1Ghz processor out of the water on benchmark tests.Give up screen size and 200mhz for 2GB Rom? NTY.
Actually that's exactly what they're going for. This kinda might be like Sprints' way of having a recognizable name for their line of Android Phones. Verizon had the original Droid, which was huge and had lots of press. Now sort of similar with the Evo. And then Verizon had the "Droid Incredible". Now Sprint has the Evo Shift. I don't know maybe I'm reaching but it could be what they're going for.
Verizon has the Droids Sprint will have the Evos. Maybe? Sounds plausible. Its all about name recognition.
My Hero is dying, and I was hoping Sprint would have more than just this to offer at CES. It makes me sad that the LG 2X has GSM, we'll never see it...
