Accessories Apple in ear headphones with in-line mic and remote.

I have a pair of these and I have android 2.3.3 on my phone, using Petes stock gB rom, and the mic on these headphones isn't working. Is this a 2.3 issue, or has the mic never worked??

I dont believe its a rom issue, ive never had it work with any of my droids.

alright after trying it on a variety of different droids and software, I couldnt get the in line mic to work for voice on any of them. tried on droid x droid 1 (multiple) and thunder bolt, with software ranging from 2.0 to 2.3.2

I had this to work only one time with my Moto Droid. After that no such luck. I called my mom and inline mic worked. called her right back and no go. Maybe has to be in a certain way to make the right contact? I never tried again after that.

Don't the headphone/microphone combos have a 4 pin plug on them?

Is the headphone port on the DrOID 4 pins or the standard 3 pins?
