I had seen this and it does look like an elegant solution for getting more battery time.

I like the idea and have been waiting for TB version but $60 is pretty steep for 1500 mAh.

Looks like that is part of their design on all their cases

Thats where it plugs in to the micro usb port. The kick stand doesn't work though so I will wait for some reviews first. But it looks like a good idea.

The video shows popping the phone out of the case for kick stand use. Might even act like a dock but I would like to see some hands on reviews as well

No it is a skin. The like a case with a built in backup battery.

It covers the kickstand and looks quite large and juts out on one side. Not for me...

that thing looks huge. and its cool you can use it as a "desk dock" but covering the kickstand is a deal breaker for me. not that i would ever need this anyway.

The thickness is just obscene! Compare this to their i-phone powerskin and an obvious question arises, WTF where they thinking when they designed the android line?
Just look at the pictures:
The bottom 2 are for Thunderbolt.
I also just got Sensation for work and wanted to get this case for it as well but not now.

But the i-phone case is nice and tidy.

Extended battery only adds bulk to a portion of the back cover and you can cover that with your hand while holding it, this thing is the whole back of the phone. Seriously, would you go to this from a nice thin phone? Imagine pulling that thing out in public, kids would ridicule you!
