Getting frustrated...

Getting frustrated...simply because of the lack of communication from Verizon, Google, & Samsung. I understand that these companies would rather say nothing than to backtrack on their word. However this is a highly anticipated device that many of us have been drooling over for months now.
Today a VZW customer specialist called to tell me that they were informed that the phone was delayed again....and she then proceeded to tell me nothing other than it's not here and I don't know when.

I called a local corporate store and was told, "no word".

I dialed *611 again to speak with a phone rep who said she attended a class today. They told her the phone is delayed to ensure it's up to Verizon's "standards". I asked her if this meant that it would be delayed past the 15th or if it was delayed until the 15th waiting on a fix? She had no comment.

I'm really frustrated but there isn't much I or any of us can do except drool over the ones that have leaked out and hope that the phone makes it's way to market soon. The sad truth is that this will probably put an end to Google's relationship with Verizon if Verizon is simply playing hardball over Google Wallet.

Uggg...more waiting either way.

Well, the EPIC thread is awash with word of Thursday from countless outlets, corporate and third party, across the U.S.

I think I can safely start my countdown!

AGAIN

It's the tech geek in us all, trust me.

We're ALL frustrated over this taffy-pull of a non-launch. But take heart: the wait is almost over and it will have been worth it :)

i have personally heard the 15th from friends that work at VZW as well. However i'm reluctant to give it any credit because as you saw last week...we could all wake up tomorrow and find out something else is up and it is delayed. So really to be honest. ....until i have one in my hand at the store i'm not drinking anymore rumor kool aid.

If there is silence from vzw tomorrow, it isn't coming the 15th.

If we don't get a press release tomorrow then we'll probably start getting leaks about the next delay, just like on the 7th. When that happens, 700 bucks will mysteriously disappear from my bank account and a day later, through the miracle of the interne, ahem, Christmas, a brand new GSM Galaxy Nexus will arrive on my doorstep.

I can almost guarantee that Verizon won't announce this phone before it's actually released. It's not a "Droid" phone and they need to have the option to delay it at the last second for political reasons (as they did last week over the Google Wallet ordeal - WTF have they solved about it in the last week anyways?). I'll bet that the phone launches Thursday with nary a peep from Verizon though. It will just appear on their site to order and the stores will start selling them with no help from advertisement at all.

It goes against all logic for Verizon to not announce this phone. Who care's if it's a Droid or not? This is a huge phone. But then again if everything had a logical explanation, there would be no such thing as String Theory, Quantum Mechanics, Economic Theories, and so forth. So until Thursday comes and goes, don't lose hope. And also wait it out at least until the end of the year, after that, you can choose to forget about it, keep waiting for it or jump to another carrier and get a GSM version. Tis the beauty of the market system. You are free to make choices. Sure instant gratification is rather sweet, however those that delay gratification enjoy the rewards far better.

Sigh. I think you might be right. But at any rate, if it's not going to go on sale on Thursday, I'm sure we'll hear about it on the blogs and twitter sometime tomorrow.

Hi everyone. I am waiting to see the Nexus too, although I think I might keep looking- not sold yet. I can certainly understand the frustration here from those of us that know this is in the works. I'm trying to keep in mind that Verizon has intentionally NOT made the public aware, i.e. has not wanted Joe Public to know about this release. If they advertised free ice cream and then didn't have any, I'd be upset. Since they didn't, I won't be mad that there's no ice cream.

Can't wait to see it. Well actually I can, but I hope it's soon.

frustrated,, its a phone,,,

put into perspective there is people waiting on organ donations to live,,,

I mentioned earlier that I was upset at myself for being frustrated. Thanks for reading all the post and getting self righteous on us. I'm glad to know that you are perfect :D.
