No data today? 1/25

Anyone else? Must be a new 4G LTE phone releasing tomorrow, this would track with all the prior releases and outages.

Just got a new GNex yesterday, but I get no 4G in my building right now. I can manually switch to 3G and that works with full bars 50th St and 7th Ave, NYC

My phone has lost all data in MD. I have done airplane mode and a reboot. Came online looking to see if it is happening to anyone else. Mine still is not back. It has the grey bars but the mobile network is disconnected, which I believe means it's not authenticated to use the network...

Same symptoms here (Boston), I see bars but they're greyed out. Same as last time there was a VZW outage, too, so yeah I think you're right, it's that same issue with the SIM cards not authenticating or whatever. My husband's LG Revo is having the same issue, so it's not just my phone.

I registered specifically to say I'm having the same exact issue, just north of Philadelphia.

The airplane mode toggle isn't working to fix the issue for me, nor is the power toggle. Anyone know if there's any recourse? Sit and wait it out?

How far North?

I noticed my phone lost data for awhile this morning. Was not sure if it was the area however since I am normally not in that area during the day. But, on the drive into work it automatically re-connected and I have not had any issues since.

So you still have no data?

If it's a Verizon outage? Yup, gotta wait it out. I have seen a few times the issue people have posted about where the data completely drops, you get a solid grey triangle, and toggling airplane mode brings it back. This was a different issue- this was the same thing I saw in other VZW outages- it's not a solid grey triangle, there are still bars, but you're not actually connected to the network.

Plus this was my phone and my husband's, so I know it wasn't my phone. My data came back around 1 or so, has been fine since then.

As others have said we've seen issues right around when new 4G phones are released.

Starting to get annoyed. It still hasn't come back and clearly it isn't widespread at appears to be regional affecting only us in parts of the northeast. My husband says his thunderbolt is fine. If its a legit outage, none of the blog sites have even reported on it. WTF

Smooth sailing in Upstate SC. Could just be outages in specific areas. Wait it out a while and see what happens, if nothing improves see if you can get some info from the nearest Big Red store.

We just had the blip this morning, but it's apparent there's other outages based on the "day before a new 4G device shows up" problem.

If a reboot or two doesn't fix it, I'd be on the phone with VZW stat! Or maybe try to switch into 3G only, but that's most likely not going to help if it's an authentication issue. Worth a shot though.

Again, I thought I would just ask since my SGN and OTHER 4G devices had issues in the office early this morning, didn't last for very long though.... never know when another outage will show up, lol. Even ATT is having issues like crazy with that skyrocket LTE device on their network!

I had intermittent data loss through the day in upstate SC. Power cycled the phone a couple of times (including one battery pull), toggled airplane mode once or twice. Had signal issues in Simpsonville, Anderson, Clemson and Seneca.

I guess it must be my phone because dare I said last night my data was back, but it appears it's just my 4G. When I walked into work this morning and my phone does it's normal switch to 3G, instead of 3G I had no data. Now it's sitting on very weak 4G (which it usually doesn't do), but if it drops the 4G I have no data.

I guess this is what I get for saying I haven't had an issues. Sounds like a trip to VZW is in my future today.
