Help Samsung Moment 2 wishlist

Oh, ok. Well, I guess this is just for fun then. So what exactly will change when this new moment with dtv comes out?

You not only can add, you can make a list of your own. What I posted was just what I could think of. I'm interested in seeing other peoples desires for their phones.

The Samsung Moment is a good phone and I think it would be a great phone if a few things were added. Here's my wish list for the Moment 2.


  1. A better (more efficient) processor. 800 MHz is fine for me.
  2. More memory.
  3. bigger battery
  4. the ability to save your apps to SD card.
  5. More efficient and stable coding so that it won't freeze as some have reported. Hopefully already in Android 2.1 or better.
  6. I would appreciate an esthetic update (not important though)
  7. pinch to zoom :D
 
1. Slightly faster clocked processor, or a better 800 architecture would be nice.
2. Better camera
3. Better camera software!
4. The ability to tether the DTV capabilities to a... tv
5. FIXED BLUE TOOTH!
6. A slightly larger screen would be nice
7. Running apps from the SD card
8. No bull$h!t Sprint bloatware!
9. A better speakerphone speaker
10. A kickstand on the battery door
11. Direct Google support

A keyboard that requires a decent amount of force to slide it open; all 4 of my Moments have loose feeling sliders as compared to the sh*&ty Sprint phones.

A newer architecture processor that's cutting edge.

More RAM, fo sho.

3.7" Screen, don't care the type.

Don't let Samsung rape the software/updates. Cut them out of the picture. Let them do nothing but make hardware.
 
The phone is great as is. But if I could make it better, well then:

At least a 3.5" screen.
A higher capacity battery
A dual core processor
More RAM (basically beef up all the hardware specs)
A more durable and rugged housing - similar to the Hero.
Larger speaker
Android 2.1

Everyone's said most of these things already. But like I said, these things would be nice. I'm by no means disliking it as is.

How tight do you want it? I actually really like how it slides. It feels very comortible for me. Also, I like the fact that its very easy for me to slide it open with one hand and type a quick message on some online games. (I never had my slider accidently slide out neither btw)
 
Honestly, I like the Droid keyboard slide mechanism. It's semi-resistant to being opened, but you know for a fact that it won't open/close unless you push against it with a fair amount of force.
 
When using the camera, you can press once on the optical mouse to take a picture. There's also a camera button on the spine of the phone.
 
Another thing I'd like to add in the wishlist:

A more stringent quality control in the manufacturing process.

Nice, I think it would be great to have the optical pad+5 small and compressed soft keys instead of those crapactive ones:p

OMG my mother just swapped for a TP2 and the keyboard is the pinnacle of how keyboards should be! I couldn't agree more!

LED notification;) Has anyone else suggested that yet? I can hardly believe that it hasn't!

I gotta disagree with the April 2010 release date though. You gotta give it time to have at least one update to fix most of the inherent bugs. So I would push for a release date more along the lines of Feb 2010:rolleyes:
 
There is a no moment 2... they are using the moment to test out DTV.. doesnt mean there will be a moment 2.. they jsut picked that phone to test it out because of its screen and hardware...

Adding to my wishlist:
-Every original Moment owner receives the upgrade to the new Moment for free without any contract consequences.:D
 
read second post im simply replying to that . do you control forums? your being rude by trying to tell me what i can and cant say . i just stated a fact and you took it to the heart just drop it and let it be already.
 
The galaxy s doesn't have a physical keyboard and it looks to much like the iphone. I think the moment with a slightly larger screen and faster processor and led notification are all i would ask for. I like the keyboard. os updates will come and if not can be done through root.
