Help Callers can't hear first few seconds

Well this is a new problem for me. I've made three calls this afternoon to people and they've all been unable to hear the first few seconds of the conversation. They answer the phone and I say, "Hello, this is Craighwk calling you back" and they say "Hello? Hello?" like they couldn't hear me. I answer back, "Can you hear me now" and then everything is fine.

Never had this happen ever. Anyone else experiencing this or has an idea of what's going on?

I have a 1-2 second delay when talking over the phone. Definitely can hear it when talking to the person standing in the same room as I.

It is not a walkie talkie so there would be some amount of delay from being in the same room. As for the delay, my DX has always had a short delay, I just never really thought about it.

I had this issue w/ the phone I had before my S3, Samsung DROID Charge. Since I got my S3 I don't have it anymore. My wife had it w/ her DROID X, but when she got her RAZR MAXX it went away. I think this is a phone line thing or some other unexplained issue, but not an individual phone issue. Just my theory.

I guess it's good I'm not the only one with the issue. Never had it on any previous phones, so .. Oh well, maybe a future update will fix it? Thanks for the comments.

Afaik this issue first surfaced with gingerbread. I've seen this in my desire. Haven't noticed it on the gs3 though

Mine stopped doing that since I switched off this thing:

Phone icon on home screen>Keypad>Menu button>Settings>Call Settings>Additional Settings>Noise Reduction> Not selected.

Also try when answering calls to remember - keep your fingers away from the microphone.
That's all.

If this helps you press the thanks button :-)

I had a similar problem, but people could hear me,it's just I sounded like I was "in a tunnel" or "underwater".

Hasn't happened for the last few calls. Just checked and my noise reduction was ticked. Turned it off now and will see how I get on....
