So I just flashed TheDemons MIUI.us ROM (amazing ROM by the by).

So I went to update my apps cause I restored older versions of them with Titanium Backup and they all want to update over WiFi....

Us there a way to make it update through my phones Data (3g)?

Thank you in advance :3

Unless stated otherwise, or changed by the rom, the settings should somewhat be the same. If you look under the settings for the store, there should be an option to allow updating over Data.

I can see from my LG MS770, if you open Play Store, hit the button on the far right with the three lines *I do not know the official term for it* and under Settings, General, there should be an Auto-update apps. I have three options:

  • Do not auto-update apps
  • Auto-update apps at any time. Data charges may apply.
  • Auto-update apps over Wi-Fi only.
I cannot find another option other than the Google Play store.

That is already set. So it might be the ROM?
If you set the second option, or one similar, have an active data connection, and the applications still will not update, it can very well be due to the ROM.

However, I have seen some picky applications that refuse to update over Data, possibly due to it being unreliable, as it is 3G, or that the application requires a strong connection to the internet, through a Wi-Fi, due to whatever requirements the developer insists on.

I would, if the ROM has one, go to its thread and mention this issue. I have not heard of Google applications or options being tampered when flashing custom ROMs, but I have heard of issues with 4G, Google Maps, Google GPS, Google Navigation, and for some odd reason, MMS, when flashing almost ANY kind of ROM. If the ROM has specific read mes or follow ups, it might be worth to read up and bring yourself up to speed, in the event the issue is already known and a solution, permanent or not, has been found.

I am surprised, you are running this phone on 3G? Is 4G not available? How did you even manage to get it to run on 3G? *I am sorry for these questions*

I got 3g cause I switched phones cause this one was bricked for a while. So when I switched back the 4G Sim was deactivated leaving me with EV (3G).

I just like the speed. But before the apps updated fine.
