Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM][BETA][4.1.2][Team Osiris] AOKP Jelly Bean for ZTE Warp 1/25/2014

Hi!
It's been a while since I'm around the original Warp forums.

A partial working screen on my Sequent brought me back, and Oh My! so many new things....

But none work for me, all the new 4.1.2 base roms (AOKP, RootBox and CMD) do the same, and nobody else seems to have that issue.

I wiped everything from the previous driver, then the the cache, Install from SD card and after it tells me that it's done, I reboot.

In all 3 cases the boot animation comes on but they all stop after the "keys" get illuminated and the screen in black shows and icon, android system in white letters, and the icons for signal strength, battery and clock. After that it gives me a short vibration and turns itself off.

Any idea why?

If I flash any other GB based rom it boots normally so I don't know whats the deal.

give the phone a hard reset and wipe battery stats in your recovery and it should work.. I don't know why it's doing it but it looks like your phone thinks there isn't any battery at boot and immediately shuts itself down at boot... also try flashing and having your firs boor while plugged in to a charger to see if it still does the same...

Since my frankenWarp its "hardwire" to a big USB male, I can't charge it normally, but I'll try the hard reset and see if it works...

I'll report back!

Well after doing the reboot and wiping all (data, cache, dalvik and battery stats) The rom was booting faster but also turning off before the boot animation was finished.
So I just removed the battery, overlapped the positive and negative poles on with my fully charged sequent battery and it booted normally.
Then I put the original battery back and now its working... Crazy thing lol

I got MMS halfway working in rootbox last night, can receive but not send...getting there

Everything works! Mic works, MMS works (Handcent, sending and receiving Pic's, etc.), Navigation, videos, CPU sticking, camera, etc, etc. A few freeze ups, but very few. And the battery is AWESOME, (almost a day and a half.)
New Daily driver For good. (Or Till Rootbox gets fixed up, then I'll try that).

That's great! But oddly enough on my end,I just now got the Mic issue that creeped It's way in and I have to switch to speaker phone... when you say you have mms working both ways, do you mean mms.apk or picture messaging?

I reflashed, and it (the mic) worked. but , shhhhh, it might stop again. I downloaded Handcent for MMS, works great. IDK, don't jinx me :), so far so good.
You can thank Lilbit for the Handcent app. she found it!
 
You can also try GoSMS, specifically an old version of the app. I used 5.1.1 or something, and never updated because that version was much faster and much lighter (in ram usage and in the amount of space it took up as well). Its free in the Play Store and has some nice customization options. I suggest finding a really old APK and using that instead :)

Thanks for being a Guinea pig And testing the app. I can confirm that it works. Oh And thanks lilbit for the app suggestion.
 
The mic issue went away after I rebooted and wiped caches and battery stats... Just strange.. there are not too many baugs in this rom, it's really awesome. but the bugs I do get are random and don't seem to be caused by a specific action... with the exception of wifi tethering breaking wifi. the mic did stop working after I made a call on speaker phone, however today after the wipe it's all good, I can switch between both speakerphone and earpiece no problem... and I try Handcent mms... thanks for the 411! :)
 
I flashed ROM yesterday, its awesome :) .. now waiting for the wifi tether fix.. everything works good but I noticed few minor things 1. The notification led light for new message or text does not flash but stays solid red. 2. "Wake my andriod pro app" appears to be not working (e.g. if I set it to wake every 9 sec, the lights (home,settings,back,search) do not flash at all as it use to be before) 3. Random freeze ups but this goes away by itself .. overall its very nice :)

You don't need the wake my droid app anymore... it's only for our crappy stock rom.... :p
 
My Bluetooth works great on my hands free (phone) thing. Its a work in progress
Mic took a poop today........... (I kinda thought it would), MMS still good, but it switches from Handcent to stock IDK(?) But it works. Hey we're all test dummies here. and AOKP isn't a solid rom, so ....... but it's better than 2.3.5 GB! Right!?
