Best tv of 2014

Hello fellow androiders,

You guys always helped me out with my questions and problems. So I thought I would ask you guys because you all are vary smart and know your tech stuff.

My mom and I are finally ready to get ride of are tube tv and get a new tv. We have $3500 to spend on a tv. I wanted to know what tv has the best picture quality. I have read Cnet and other off name websites. Still I am not sure on what to buy. Any suggestions will be helpful.

It depends on what you want. Most Tv's don't have good sound quality, so I would put away a few hundred just for a good sound bar or audio system. Size vs Quality, what's more important to you? 60 inch tv might cost drastically more than 55 inch or maybe you want a 4k picture.

Just a thing to consider. All high end TV'S lose its value really fast, so if you spend your 3.5k on a tv, in a year it's most likely will be around $1k. No channel translates at resolution more than 720pixels, and Blu rays at 1080pixels so most of the time people don't even take full advantage of their TV.

I would look at LG tv's, they are cheaper than Samsungs but quality wise not worse.
I would strongly reconsider spending $3500 on a TV and just get something midrange for $1000.

It is going to be a living room TV. I personally want a 60 inch TVs. Still if somebody has a TV that has great picture quality that is 55 or 50 inches. Then I would consider buying that.

This probably depends on your country. In the US there are channels that broadcast in 1080i.

Even if you get a high end model $3500 is way too much to spend - $1500 to $2000 should be more then enough, unless you get a 4K HDTV which I believe are still quite pricy. I don't have any specific models to recommend though.

If you want to do online streaming (Netflix, Youtube, etc.) get a Smart TV that connects to the internet.

You can honestly find 50+ models of 60 inch TV. All modern TV's have an excellent picture, only way to see the difference is put another TV right next to it, and then again it all depends on TV color settings.

If you are not in huge rush wait out for a TV deal. check either Slickdeals.com or Fatwallet.com. you can sometimes score an excellent deal.
