Help Bluetooth call static

Trent Reznor

Android Expert
When making Bluetooth calls in my car I'm getting a lot of static. The person I'm speaking with doesn't hear it, it's only on my end.

My other phones don't do this (iPhone/GS3). Is anyone else experiencing this? Does anyone know of a solution? Thanks!

Take it back & exchange for another handset (before the 14 day window disappears) if all troubleshooting nets nothing.

I had B/T call issues w/my M7 that went unresolved, even after sending the unit in to HTC for diagnostics/repair (couldn't find the problem).

I was stuck w/it until I sold it a month or so later.

YMMV, but, there's nothing stopping you from getting another handset now, so, based on my experiences & similar troubleshooting w/other phones, this is my 2

It's weird. I get no static on music or Pandora. only on calls.

If I move the phone around in the car I can make it go away.

You're getting interfence from another electronic component in the car. If you can move it around and it comes and goes, something is throwing out interference.

See if you can pinpoint the area and see what's there.

Maybe. But none of my other devices suffer from this.
