It was odd. It worked fine for me until yesterday afternoon. No changes, no new software...just suddenly started crapping out on me. every time i launch maps or GPS Test, it fails.

Don't have access to my PC right now, so i installed alogcat and alogrec. Reboots, but I get nothing in the logs.

Well I have the h345 but I am using the ms345 recovery right now, the one everyone xalls the blue recovery. And I am running the ms345 new build. I get gps lock fast and no reboots. If you did not wipe cache and delvik you may need to do that. If you already have wiped both of those then I am a little stumped.

Yep, wiped both. And like I said, It worked fine until yesterday afternoon, then suddenly started misbehaving. I got it to get a lock once this morning, and then it was fine, but the other 15 or so times, it failed and rebooted. But once it DOES get a lock, it's good for a while! If I get a lock, then reboot on my own chances are it won't get a lock again.

Thinking I'll need to hook it up to USB to debug when I get home sometime.

Yes I posted a new build last night. And I will be posting two more new builds here in just a few. Was trying to see if I could get Camcorder working before posting them and wanted to get a new twrp built for h345 and ms345 so no more build.prop editing

@TMacgnolia, few questions. I'm assuming the vendor_lge is the repository I should grab to poke around, correct?

Is there some sort of make file in there somewhere? I saw one in the android_device_lge_c50 repo. Do I need that as well?

What release of Marshmallow did you grab to try and use with the kernel from the Stylo?

I'd like to pull down the code and make a build on my machine! (but I've never done it before, so I'm trying to find out where to start.) I did follow the steps on google's AOSP website to get my system all set up, and pulled down the latest code from them. But I'd like to be able to play around with this build, since I've actually got the device, and a mostly working version of 5.1.1! :)
 
Ok you still have the h345, but technically they are the same device that is why a build for one will work on the other with edits to the updater-script to get it to install. Any way I will give you a list of the repos you need to build with. All of them will be TeaRegular's repos as they are updated more than the ones I had months ago.

You will need the the android_device_lge_ms345 repo. If it was a proper recovery for h345 you would use android_device_lge_h345, but I am working on making a proper recovery.

You need the android_device_lge_c5-common repo.

You need the android_kernel_lge_c50.

If you are not building CM you will probably need the android_external_mm-dash repo.

Last you need the vendor_lge repo. But befor you build you need to go to vendor/lge/c50-common/propriatary/lib/hw and change the name of the camera.vendor.msm8916.so to camera.msm8916.so. Then go vendor/lge/c50-common/c50-common-vendor-blobs.mk and edit line #43 to reflect that name change.

What build.prop edits are you talking about cause from your screen shot I cannot tell as that is all already in the buil.prop. I have the native camera working and the camcorder is not force closing in the latest build I have but itwill not record. The Wondershare PowerCam works though which is wierd. And I made no edits to the build.prop for it to work. Just installed it from the play store.

It is the one I uploaded last night. But give me a few and I will replace the link with the one I built today. I was trying to get a recovery built for h345 so I could post both builds as I don't want to have to make edits to the updater-script

Ok the build for ms345 from today is linked in the OP. The camera works at boot and the camera app actually shows in the app drawer. But even though the camcorder does not force close it will not record. But in you install the Wondershare PowerCam app it works for recording video for some reason. I added a commit to frameworks/av to try and fix camcorder. Got to pull some logs to see if I can figure it out.

Also I am working on getting a dedicated TWRP recovery built for the h345. I have a build for the h345 that I built today also. But I have not edited the updater-script so you can flash it via one of the two recoveries. Good news is that if you are using the "blue TWRP recovery" that is linked in the OP for the ms345 you can still flash the ms345 build on your h345.

As I said they were all showing h345 and I made the change to the board line to ms345 (even tho I downloaded the metro version ). Then the h345 lines changed with the board change to ms345. Got me now?
 
And my normal camera app works just no recording
