    Where are all the apps?

I don't have an Android phone yet, but I was browsing the web-based Android market at android.com/market and it doesn't seem like there are more than a couple dozen apps. Are there more apps available from the market if you access it from an Android phone? Or is that even the right Android market?

    Dragon or Droid?

I'm pretty much sold on The Droid, but now I see this: Mystery HTC Android Handset Has a Name and a Carrier | The Unlockr Do any of you have any idea how a 1GHz processor in the Dragon will compare with the type of processor in the Droid? If the Dragon/Passion is as fast or faster than...

    So, this or the Droid?

Mystery HTC Android Handset Has a Name and a Carrier | The Unlockr This has a speedy processor, but I'm not convinced it's faster than The Droid, even with the 1 GHz processor. I bet it's screaming fast, though. I'm tempted to get the Droid because I like the idea of having a keyboard in...

Is "Droid" a series of phones?

I'm hearing now that "Droid" is Verizon's name for series of Android phones, one of which is the Droid. Another, the Droid Eris, appears to be the HTC Desire, which everyone seems to think is the Verizon version of the Hero. HTC Eris (Droid Eris, Desire) - gdgt This is all so confusing! If the...

    This appears to be it

HTC Eris (Droid Eris, Desire) - gdgt And I'm hearing that "Droid" is really just Verizon's name for a series of Android phones, one of which will be the Droid Eris. I wonder if this is just a rebranded Hero. Sure seems like it or it would be getting a bigger push from Verizon, don't you think?

    Bad news about Exchange sync

One of the reasons I wanted the Droid was that Android 2.0 offers native Exchange support. However, I just heard that Verizon is going to force us to use some other service that requires a server, much like Blackberry Enterprise Server. :( This really, really stinks.

I'm getting one...but wow is it ugly

I was originally going to get an HTC Hero when it came out on Verizon, but now I'm pretty sure I'm going to get this. It has the functionality I need, but holy cow...it is really, really ugly, especially when compared to the Hero UI. I haven't had an android phone before. Will it be theme-able...

    So, is it sluggish?

I read one review that said this phone was sluggish, which would bug me because one of the reasons I want to switch from the iPhone is because I think it's too sluggish. Now that the phone is out, what do you all think of its performance, in general? Is it at least as good as an iPhone 3G?

    Verizon getting a Hero?

I was seriously considering getting a Sprint HTC Hero as soon as it came out, but I talked with someone in my area who is very knowledgeable about such things and he said that Sprint was worse coverage in my area than AT&T, my current provider. I used to have a Verizon Blackberry and I thought...

    Help Individualized notifications?

I have an iPhone now but I used to have a Blackberry Curve. One feature that I loved on the BB was that every event could have its own notification sound. I had different sounds for each of my email accounts, which was very handy. Is that level of customization possible with Android and/or the...

    Customizable Lock Screen?

Is the lock screen customizable? I have a hacked iPhone with an application that shows my mail, incoming IMs, my calendar, etc. This is really handy when I want to take a quick look at something without getting all the way into my phone. Is something similar possible with the Hero?

    Help Multiple Gmail Accounts

I asked this in the other "Hero" subforum, but I thought I'd ask it here, too. I really like what I see from this phone, but I wonder how it handles multiple Gmail accounts. I have three Gmail accounts for different purposes. My iPhone 3G handles these with no problem. I don't see anything in...

    Multiple Gmail Accounts

I'm thinking about getting one of these in a few days when they become available from Sprint, but I have a question. I have an iPhone right now and I have three Gmail accounts for different purposes. I don't use Google Calendar, so I'm not worried about calendar events. But does Android/Hero...

    Android and Exchange

Does Android have any integration with Exchange? I use my iPhone for both personal stuff and for work. It can sync up with my email, calendar and contacts by talking to our OWA server at work. Can Android do that?

    Why so few apps?

I'm really irritated with my iPhone (iTunes, actually) and I'm looking for alternatives. I thought an Android phone might be pretty cool, but there doesn't seem to be very many apps for it. It doesn't appear that any of the cool apps I use on the iPhone even exist for Android yet. I guess I just...
