    Since 2005, the NSA and GCHQ have been listening to in-flight cell phone calls

    It's been revealed that both the NSA, along with the GCHQ, have been spying on in-flight cellular phone calls since 2005. This is likely a reaction to the November 11th attack, but the scope of this seems excessive (100,000 recordings in February of 2009 from the NSA alone).
