Back in October of last year, it was announced that Qualcomm was going to acquire NXP for $47 billion. However, the purchase has caught the eye of the European Union and is said to be under investigation right now.
Qualcomm has announced that NXP has agreed to a $47 billion buyout. NXP is the dominant leader in the semiconductor solutions supplier to the automotive industry with its chips powering the majority of the infotainment systems that are built into cars.
