Qualcomm is gearing up to unveil Quick Charge 4.0 with its upcoming 2017 processors. Quick Charge 4.0 is said to feature charging speeds of 28W at 5V/4.7A~5.6A, 9V/4A. The first phones to ship with Quick Charge 4.0 support will use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 830 chip.
A batch of Qualcomm's next generation processors, the Snapdragon 830, has made its way into India for testing. These processors are expected to handle up to 8GB of RAM and may be manufactured by Samsung, exclusively.
Samsung has reportedly won a contract to manufacture Qualcomm's Snapdragon 830 chipset. The company will manufacture it on their best-in-class 10nm process for greater performance and power efficiency. It's said the Samsung Galaxy S8 will use the Snapdragon 830 in some regions.
Although the latest processor from Qualcomm has not even been announced yet, Microsoft may have just leaked the existence of the unannounced SnapDragon 830, and the SnapDragon 625.
