A new update is starting to arrive for the Sony Xperia E5 in Europe. It contains the Android security fixes for the month of October, but not much else is known about the update.
In GSMArena's review of the Sony Xperia E5, the company is applauded for the ability to make an affordable smartphone that can still look great and perform well. The review ultimately concludes that less is more in the case of the Xperia E5.
Sony has officially revealed the Xperia E5. It's an entry-level device with a 5-inch 720p display. For €199, it offers Mediatek's quad-core MTK6735 chipset, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, and a 2,700mAh battery.
Rumors have said the Sony Xperia E5 may be launching. Sure enough, Sony seems to have confirmed the device by posting a teaser about it on their Facebook page. The page has since been deleted.
Sony might still be making devices in their mid-range lineup of phones. The Sony Xperia E series is one which Sony could be adding another device to, as word of the Sony Xperia E5 has surfaced once again through a Russian customs database.
