The Sony Xperia XA1 trio - XA1, XA1 Plus and XA1 Ultra - is getting the Android 8.0 Oreo update as. The update weighs about 900MB and bumps the Android Nougat Xperias up to Android 8.0 Oreo and brings the February 2018 security patch level.
Sony Mobile has updated the Xperia XA1 and Xperia XA1 Plus with new firmware updates that move the Android security patch to 5 January 2018. The importance of this security update is that the Meltdown and Spectre CPU vulnerabilities are now patched.
Android 8.0 Oreo will soon roll out to a bunch of Sony Xperia devices, including the X, X Performance, X Compact, XZ, XA1 and XA1 Ultra. Sadly enough, the Xperia Z5 family is not on this list.

First debuted at Mobile World Congress this year, the Xperia XA1 features a borderless design with a 720p display. Powered by a MediaTek Helio P20 processor, the phone comes in several different colors and features a 23MP rear camera.
Sony has revealed the Xperia XA1 and the Xperia XA1 Ultra at MWC 2017. The phones will feature a 5-inch and 6-inch screen with edge-to-edge displays.
Both phones will also launch with Android Nougat out of the box.
