Someone on Twitter asked Swappa why pricing was displayed incorrectly on the company's Canada website. In response, they were told Swappa's international (non-US) market was being phased out.
Swappa recently launched a new tiered fee system, and today they've announced a tiered protection plan as well. The $50 plan protects your phone at up to $300, the $60 plan protects your phone at up to $500, and the $70 plan protects your phone at up to $1,000.

The seller will be charged $5 if the selling price of their phone was between $0 - $100, $10 for $101 - $300, $15 for $301 - $500...

Swappa has just added support for PayPal Credit. So if the phone you're buying on Swappa costs more than $100, then you 6 months to pay off the purchase before you get charged interest (when you use PayPal Credit). They also say to look for a new Chromebook category in the near future too.
