Samsung will start rolling out the Nougat update to its Galaxy J5 (2016) smartphone soon. The device, which was launched back in April last year running Marshmallow, has now cleared the WiFi Alliance running Android 7.0 Nougat.
Looks like Andy Rubin's Essential - which is yet to start shipping its first phone, the PH-1 - is already working on a new device. Carrying a model number of A11, the handset has been certified by the WiFi Alliance (WiFi).
7 new Moto phones have appeared at the WiFi Alliance with model numbers XT1770, XT1772, XT1773, XT1724, XT1725, XT1726 and XT1721. The similarity in model numbers suggest these could be multiple variants of the same device.
The WiFi Alliance suggests they have MediaTek MT6737 chipsets, though...
The Samsung SM-C501X has been granted certification by the WiFi Alliance. While we've seen the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro make an appearance of the WiFi Alliance's website already, the new model appears to be the international variant of the phone.
