Root [1st Gen] I want jelly bean!!

Okay heres the deal i want to root my 1st gen kindle fire and install a jelly bean rom on it but ive read about some roms bricking the devices or not allowing certain apps to be run and i have no experience in rooting i want to know if there is a really good quality tutorial containing how to root a 1st gen kindle fire and how to install a custom rom onto it or if there are 2 seperate tutorials that are both easy to follow let me know if you guys know of any easy tutorials and also the best jelly bean rom for a first gen fire and what programs i need to root and install a rom on a fire thanks for reading

I've flashed many different ROMs to my Kindle and never had any trouble but when I had bootloops happen, I already knew how to handle them without panicking because I read many posts and threads. This is not really a process you want to go into blindly. I will help anyway I can.......first thing you want to do though is download the KFU

okay uhm after i run the kfu and root my device how would i go about installing a custom rom onto it?? sorry im a bit new to this whole process:confused::o
