Root [1st Gen] Rom Advice

I'm not a huge fan of the stock rom &launcher, but it has one essential feature that keeps dragging me back to it. I use my kindle 75% of the time for reading books and magazines and the way stock separates the Newsstand from the Books is is just really functional.

Is there any other rom that has this functionality but is less clumsy than stock?

if you put any kind of rom on your kindle, you'll have to download the kindle app or another e-reader. and im not sure if theres any e-readers out there that separates books and magazines or documents or whatever. ive only ever used aldiko and kindle app so im not too sure.

Thanks for your reply. It's what I feared.
I don't like the way the stand alone kindle (or alkido) app handle my rather large collection of books and magazines. Stuck with stock, I guess.
