6 a.m. club

My appointment is at 630am.... I'm wondering who took my 6am appointment at RS here! There were only three other preorders, so it must have been someone one here! Hope to see you whoever you are, I'll be there at 615am with half a dozen doughnuts from the local Krispy Kream!
 
didnt preorder. probably head to a sprint store 730-45ish. im expecting most people who got it did so though the preorder channels so i dont imagine much of a wait- especially since my sprint is on the same block as a best buy and 2 blocks from a radioshack
 
I'm going to be at the local sprint store by about 5 am. I'm bringing: a camping chair, an umbrella (for shade if necessary, the morning texas sun can be brutal), a cooler with water/soda (and possibly an adult beverage ;) ), powdered donuts and my netbook. I'm thinking of also printing up a 'sign-in' list of sorts so people who show up can stay in a semblance of order and if someone wants to run to a gas station for food or to use the bathroom they won't lose their place.

I'll probably spend much of that time pruning my apps on my phone, backing things up to the sd card, managing music, so I'm ready to hit the ground running with EVO.
 
Anyone know what time the Sprint stores are opening on Evo day? I believe they said they were opening early.

Just found out my local RS is opening at 6am and will have extra stock over and above their pre order. I preordered at a BB which doesn't open till 10am. I plan to get to RS early and snag my Evo! I'll just use my $50 BB gift card to buy "my son" Red Dead Redemption, lol. Everybody wins!!
 
My Radio Shack still has not called me, however I called them right before they closed last night and they said there not taking appts, but are opening up at 6am? And it gets better, he said he had about 5-6 people that said they will be there at 6. I doubt I'm even getting it there. If I had an appt and could swoop in and be done in 15/20min, no problem. But they don't sound like they got there stuff together, and I'm not in the mood to deal with waiting that early in the AM for them to activate that many phones.

But Best Buy called me and said what ever works for me after 1pm, all there morning appts were taken there doing appts by the half hr. So I just grabbed a 7pm, go after I leave my place, plus I can get to read all the crazy morning stories on here. There should be some interesting stories posted all day tomorrow.

You wanna read interesting stories rather than get the actual phone? screw BB 7 pm apt I would just go early they'll service you in between other apts.

No, Best Buy offered me anything after 1pm. But I will be pretty much Be jammed up in my office from about 7:30am till say 6pm, I figured I'll just take my time getting there and grab it on my way home. Only thing that might have worked was first thing on the morning at the Shack, but it sounds like a mess over there. No biggie, have the whole weekend to play.
