WHY THE HELL CAN'T MY CARRIER (T-Mobile) GET ANY IN STOCK!!!!!![]()
possibly because Samsung has over 3 million orders for it already![]()
True, but T-Mobile were ALREADY a month behind ALL THE OTHER carriers! A month of 2 maybe. Then they get a batch of maybe 1000 in and they're gone in like 4 days!!! :-|
And now I phone every Tuesday and Friday (delivery days) to see if they've got them in! Oh well, there's hope for tomorrow.
Ive been so pissed recently. I can't find anywhere on the internet when this god forsaken S2 is going to be released, what carrier it will be on and if it will be 4G. I found the phones official website. Big deal, it's flashy and all but doesn't say when the phone will be released or with who! Google didn't help what so ever. I swear the quality of google search results has taken a nose dive in the last 2-3 years....
it's because no-one knows. TBH I think people have been generally too blown away by it and just ordered it from EU if they really wanted it. But Samsung literally haven't given anything away on this phone, in terms of release dates.
Really? i was starting to think that was a possibility but dismissed it. I mean that's unheard of. I don't know about Samsung man. I like the look and feel of most of their products. Very polished and seemingly well made. But this, plus the fact that they STILL (to my knowledge) have not updated some of the Galaxy S phones like the Fascinate to 2.2 yet really makes me question who is at the helm over there.

US PEOPLE! Think of the late GSII as a GOOD THING.
Firstly, you're not gonna get left behind or anything...your market and reputation with Samsung are simply TOO big.
Secondly, I'm guessing it's been delayed so much, they're gonna release the GSII with most, if not all the issues fixed (all of which are software).
Thirdly, It'll have NFC which is big for you guys (at least I think)
and you can hope it'll have LTE/4G/whatever comes after 3G that you guys are moving onto!
Scratch point 4 about the LTE.
If what I've been told is correct max 1st generation LTE/4G is capable of 21Mbps? Correct? If that is the case, The GSII technically has LTE/4G because it is capable of getting a max speed for 21Mpbs, even though it's not marketed as 4G or LTE.

I would use the NFC chip on a daily basis in DC.no, NFC is not big here lol. most are speculating it will be a long while (years) before it's widely accepted here. i tend to agree.
yes, it's theoretically capable of 21Mbps now on AT$T but this isn't real world. i haven't done a speed test yet but i'm sure it's prob not even half of that, tbh. real world down speeds are gonna be a lot lower haha. same for up.
okay...my bad about the LTE, 4G and NFC stuff. :/
Just going on speculation.
But it's bigger than it is here (because here it is more or less non-existence).
And about the 4G/LTE stuff, I thought someone told me that the 1st generation of LTE/4G was around 21Mpbs.
Sorry bout that.
who knows, maybe it'll have 4G, by the time it eventually be released??
Is 4G a big selling point for many people in the US yet?
I would use the NFC chip on a daily basis in DC.
are you saying you would if you had it on your phone and there were places in DC to use it, or are you saying if you had it on your phone now that you could actively use it today?
it's my understanding that there aren't many places in the US right now that enable you to use NFC.
regardless, there was an article on engadget (either earlier this week or last) where a company came up with a way to put NFC on phones, without it built it, via an SD card. thought that was pretty cool.
I am saying that there are places in and around DC that i know i could and would use it at if i had it in my phone. The SD card thing sounds cool and very feasible. You are right that there aren't many, but there are a few, around DC at least.
