Sorry to hear that your HTC isn't charging. Does it not charge from ANY source - wall or computer/USB? If that's the case, it could be 1 of 2 things:
(a) The battery is bad and you need a new one. Not too expensive.
(b) The charging circuits are bad and you need the phone fixed. Not too cheap.
I'm not sure if the battery is removable. If it is... and you have a spare battery, put it in and try powering it up. Or plug the phone in without the battery in and see if it powers up.
If the battery is not removable, then service work is needed and I hope it's still under warranty. I know that's not what you wanted to hear this morning, but that's what I have for you
