Help Ads pop up everywhere?

My girlfriend's phone has ads popping up. They're full screen, noisy, and aren't confined to anything. They pop up no matter what she's doing. Virus scans and ad blockers haven't been successful, and she doesn't know which app is causing it. Is there a way to narrow down which app is doing it? It's making her phone nearly unusable. Didn't know if maybe a log checker could show which app shows these ads.

probably best factory wipe the whole thing to be safe! start again see if that works.. pain in the a$$ idea I know

I had a similar problem. A Factory Reset fixed it.
