Help AdWare pop-up constantly appearing on phone.

My girlfriend has a THL T6S phone running Android 4.4

The problem is that an ad trying to download 'Zero Launcher' is repeatedly appearing, to the point where the phone is becoming unusable. We've tried scanning it with Avast anti-virus, and using an AdDetector, to no avail.

Any suggestions as to how to remove it? Thanks in advance!

These kind of apps are supposedly banned from Play so it's maybe a very old app causing it or shes been installing apps from "Unknown sources"?
