Root After Rooting error??

During rooting everything went smooth as suppose too, but now i get this strange muti-colored screen right after seeing the At&t bootlogo. Still charges and i am still able to put it in Downloading mode, im pretty sure this is a simple fix but i have no idea how to fix it. I have attached a picture showing what im seeing.

Looks like you flashed the the kernel before you updated to the latest version of Android. What you need to do is take it back to stock I897UCJF6. The instructions can be found here: http://androidforums.com/captivate-all-things-root/162909-returning-stock.html#post1557270.

Then you will need to use Kies mini to update to the latest version 2.3.x (If i remember correctly, you have to update to 2.2 and then update again to 2.3). From there it will be safe to root.

This Odin3 isnt picking up my phone so i cant even start it?

You can get into download mode, but Odin doesn't see the phone? Can you boot into recovery? (press and hold vol. up and vol. down plus the power button. when the screen flashes, release the power, but continue to hold the volume buttons until it boots into recovery.)
