Not all of us are dog fans. I prefer cats and ferrets. Ferrets do stink.

Scientists tap cow burps for natural gas - NBC News.com

Now we need to tap the Vulcan, and my Meez and half-a-meez. I'm not too sure which one is guilty.

:D

I know I just wish people would appreciate their stinky doggies more. :)

I take my hats off to the Jerry's ek se. ;)

I think every country that has good self discipline and moral compass should also let their wonderful doggies come to work all the time with them.

Very good and clever idea.

I like their unconventional style.

I had a school friend who is German.

They had about 5 stinky doggies. :)

I liked Max.

I think Max the Rottweiler passed away a long time ago.

I haven't seen them in years. :)

Max was very well behaved.

Clever dog.

Don't get me wrong.

I love cats too. :)

But will always know that dogs are always better! ;)

Dog will give his life for you... cats... they will get scared from the burglar who jumped over your wall to come and shoot you or whatever.

Dogs actually bond with you and you become life long friends. :)

Cats?

No. ;)

but yes I totally agree with you. :)

Cats are cool in a way too. :)

Cat Saves Girl From Assault
In 2002, Lansing, Mich., a 7-year-old girl's cat saved her from an attempted sexual assault.
A man brought the girl inside his home, put duct tape over her mouth and tried to remove her pants. The girl's cat attacked him and she was able to escape. The man was arrested after police went to the home with a search warrant, and found him hiding in a crawl space in a basement.

Cat Dails 911
January 3, 2006, Columbus, Ohio. When a police officer responded to a 911 call, he found Gary Rosheisen on the floor near his bed, having fallen out of his wheelchair, and his cat Tommy sitting by the phone.
Police said they received a 911 call from Rosheisen's apartment, but there was no one on the phone so they decided to check things out.
Rosheisen said he couldn't get up because of his painful osteoporosis and ministrokes that affect his balance. He also couldn't reach a cord above his pillow that alerts paramedics that he needs help. He said Tommy must have hit the right buttons to call 911.
Tommy has lived with him for three years. He tried to train him to call 911, unsure if the cat actually got it. The phone in the living room is always on the floor, and there are 12 small buttons, with a speed dial for 911 right above the button for the speaker phone.
"He's my hero," Rosheisen said.

Cat Saves 9 yr Old From Dangerously Low Blood Sugar Levels
A cat named Mel-O from Morinville, Alberta, saved nine-year old Alex Rose by alerting Alex and his mother to Alex's dangerously low blood sugar levels.
On the evening of March 27th, 2006, Mel-O continued to climb a five foot ladder and pounce on Alex's chest. Alex woke up his mother Danielle to tell her of the situation. Danielle, realizing that Mel-O's insistence must mean something, decided to check Alex's blood sugar levels. She found that Alex's blood levels had dropped to a dangerously low level. Thanks to Mel-O, Alex was able to avoid going into diabetic shock.

Cat Saves Family From Carbon Monoxide
On March 24, 2007, in New Castle, Ind., a gasoline-powered water pump in Eric and Cathy

Keesling's basement caused carbon monoxide to build up in their home. About 1 a.m., their 14-year-old cat named Winnie began jumping on their bed, nudging Cathy's ear and meowing loudly. "It was a crazy meow, almost like she was screaming," said Cathy, who hesitated to get up until Winnie's caterwauling and jumping persisted.
When she got out of bed she realized she was nauseous and she kept feeling like she was going to faint. Every time she started to pass out, Winnie screamed at her. When she couldn't wake her husband, she called 911 but was unable to speak. The police were able to trace the call and get to the Keesling's residence. Paramedics found the couple's 14-year-old son, Michael, unconscious on the floor near his bedroom. The Keeslings were treated for carbon monoxide poisoning and soon recovered.

Cat Predicts Epileptic Fits
June 2006. Tee Cee's owner Michael Edmonds, of Sheffield, has complex epilepsy and can suffer seizures without warning. But now he is warned of an impending fit when Tee Cee sits close to him and stares at his face.
Michael Edmonds' step-daughter Samantha Laidler said, "My step-father has complex epilepsy as well as other health problems and is unable to go out on his own as he can have seizures without warning. We noticed that Tee Cee began staring at my step-father prior to a seizure and then ran to my mother to let her know all is not well, acting as an early warning system. Once assistance arrives, Tee Cee doesn't leave Michael's side until he regains consciousness and his warnings have proved invaluable to the family."

Cat Saved Her Owner From A Highly Poisonous Snake
On July 27, 2003 a cat named Sosa saved her owner from a highly poisonous snake. Kimberley was working in her garden when she was confronted by an Eastern Cottonmouth. The snake was only inches away and ready to strike. Sosa immediately interceded, lashing out at the snake and protecting Kimberley, but Sosa was bitten in the paw as a result.
The Eastern Cottonmouth is not native to Quebec. Had Kimberley been bitten, it might have been fatal because there is no ready supply of serum in the province. Sosa was treated for the snake bite and pulled through after three days in an animal hospital.

and.....there are many many more

CATS ARE COOL:cool: CATS ARE AWESOME:smokingsomb:

Cats choose their humans.

Humans choose their dogs.

Both cats and dogs can be loyal loving companions, but on balance, having had both feline and cainine friends I'd choose a dog.

Ahh! ;)

It is all smoke and mirrors!

Bwhahaha! xD

Don't shoot me! :D

I come in peace!

xD

I am totally loving it! :)

But... my first Staffy... Helga.

She chose me as well as I did her. ;)

I must have been 2 or even 3 years or so.

I was extremely young.

It is the first memory I can think of.

My very first memory.

My family went around looking for a stinky doggy for my brother and I. :D

My older brother got "Hagar" - hence "Helga and Hagar - the Vikings".

There were many stinky stinky staffys running around the house.

Don't ask me to remember the house now and the paint colour and air temperature ek se!

xD

But what I do remember... I remember very very well... was there were many stinkies running around... I played with a lot of them...

But I liked Helga the most.

She really liked me too and followed me all over the place.

I remember.

We chose each other. :)

She chose me too. :D

She was also what they call the "runt" or the "weakest" but that was so far from the truth that.

She was very small but no wimp that was for sure. ;)

Kind of reminds me of legendary SA book, "Jock of The Bushveld" (veld = field).

He was the runt but hit 100 times his weight and size.

She had the biggest heart of them all combined.

Only looking back and when I eventually heard of the true story of Jock did it so very remind me a lot of Helga's spirit. :)

I love dogs plenty. I wish I had more time, being gone eight hours a day five days a week... I just don't have the time to properly take care of a dog. I tried, it just isn't enough time.

Anyway, cats were once worshipped as gods in Egypt and they haven't forgotten it.
