Root Amon ra please...

I am trying to root and achieve s-off on a sprint htc evo design. I have an unlocked bootloader per htc dev, and this is the phone I have:

Sprint HTC EVO DESIGN 4G
ANDROID VERSION 4.0.3
HTC SENSE VERSION 3.6
SOFTWARE VERSION 3.14.651.0 710RD

BOOTLOADER:
*** UNLOCKED ***
KINGDOM PVT SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-1.30.0000

I have previously rooted an htc evo 4g and achieved s-off, I use Amon-ra recovery on that phone and was wondering if I was stuck with cwm recovery for the htc evo design. Additionally is it possible to achieve s-off on the htc evo design? There is just not a lot of support for this phone and I am not sure all of what is universal for android or htc phones. Thanks for the help in advance.

I read some where that even though it says S-on it really isn't. Anytime I used something that required s off it work. Btw rooted evo design t.w.r.p.
