Phases

NO LONGER ADMIN
Welp, I'm happy with the outcome. I would have been happy with either outcome - I'm pretty right down the middle. What I wanted to see was a concession speech like McCain's, and a victory speech like Obama's. Let the nation pull together as a whole to move forward.

Without getting into it - because I just won't - both candidates had pro's and con's, and either probably would have been a step forward, either would have made history, and either would have made me happy (and sad for the loser - I'm a sucker like that. The whole world watching you lose.. dang).

One important aspect of this.. at least in my mind - I think it will probably be a great thing to have a first bi-racial president as far as some of our country's, admittedly or not, racial divide is concerned. I'm hoping it will help put our past to rest in the minds of many - both black and white. Had McCain won there'd be a different equally positive statement I'd be saying right now.

Normally I try to stay away from politics (be gentle with me!!) but this year the excitement was in the air and we were up till midnight watching it all with our neighbor. It's time to give a new administration a shot, see if we can't pull out of our current situations with lessons learned, and experience behind out belts.

The wife was for McCain, neighbor for Obama, me down the middle - and all of us were pretty excited and happy from beginning to end.

So.. here's to the candidates. To the people. To the nation!

Cheers!

Disclaimer: I'm not making this post to start a debate (although that's fine and dandy if that's where this goes.. that's exactly what this forum is for!), and I won't participate in it myself. So, keep that in mind. :)

A move in the hopeful, right direction. But it's not just about him doin' his job. We all have to contribute ... as one nation.

One thing you all have failed to notice. That poor man does not stand a snowballs chance in hell once he moves into the white house. He has a wife and two daughters and no sons. Do you understand what that means? It means he will have to contend with THREE first ladys. Lol! Poor guy. :o
