It looks like there is a delay for Nexus devices due to a WiFi bug that was recently fixed:

Wugs root toolkit was just updated to include 5.0 in back to stock sub menu

Wugs flashes 5.0 and roots and reflashed twrp . everything works perfectly.

I had seen something about a leak of the factory image and had already grabbed it before it was listed on the page (still directly from Google though) but now it's up officially (although only for the Wi-Fi version, not for the 3G version). Now to flash it...
EDIT: It should also be noted that for those wanting to build custom Lollipop based roms, the drivers are also up (again only for the Wi-Fi version). Those can be found here
