Android Market- Attention - help

"Android Market- Attention: server unavailable. Please try again Later"

has been the message ive been getting for the last 45 mins.

i just rooted to 'ESE81 - by Pete' in prep to get his froyo..

is this normal or how do I get the market working? Phone/Internet work fine.

Not sure if this helps, but when I had that problem after rooting my Dream, I had to clear my Market cache in the application settings to get the Market to work.
 
I have the same problem and I haven't rooted or made any other drastic changes as of late. How exactly do I clear the cache?
