Android Market- Debit cards and pay pal

Hi

Have just tried to purchase my first paid app on the market and i keep getting a server error.

I think this is because I'm trying to use a debit card. (Lloyds tsb)

There are lots of stories about paypal coming to the android market but as far as I can tell it hasn't.

Short of getting a new card is there anyway I can get paid apps? Dissapointingly you don't even seem to be able to download them on the computer.

yeh but as far as i can tell you can't use it to purchase things off the app market which is what i need as my debit card wont work on the app store

You can check the dev website, or email them , some offer paypal services.
other than that you will need one of the google approved cards. Can you use your current card and purchase an amex, mastercard or visa prepaid?

*I'm really not up on card usage outside the colonies
