Help ???any idea of WHEN WILL FROYO 2.2.1 BE AVAILABLE for the i9000 in the United States???

HI EVERYBODY,
about 3 Weeks ago i got my Samsung i9000 Galaxy S which i immediately updated from Android 2.1 Eclair to Android 2.2 Froyo.

I have noticed some Lag problems with Froyo 2.2 but nothing that major, yet i hear that a lot of people already updated their Galaxy S to Android 2.2.1, but i went to check on KIES even today and it says that i have already the latest Firmware.

I live in the United States, precisely in North Carolina...: any idea of when this 2.2.1 Update should arrive?


ALSO

If i update to 2.2.1 is it possible that my Phone won't be able to do anymore certain functions such as this?:

Because i need my Phone to work with the 850Mhz Network, otherwise, i will deal with the Lag and don't update.

i'm running 2.2.1 xxjpx though as i am here in europe but i tried the instructions from the section you linked above and i was able to activate the 850 MHz band. since i purchased my phone last july 2010, i never updated from eclair to various froyo 2.2 rom and finally to froyo 2.2.1 through kies, i have always used odin.

Rom shouldn't affect the network frequency settings.
