Help Any Way To Calibrate The Touchscreen At All?

Hey everyone:

Is there any way to calibrate the touchscreen on a Nexus 7 2012???

My son dropped ours and I replaced the screen / digitizer together as well as got a new bevel for it.

Unfortunately, the touchscreen is a little bit off. The touch point is between a 1/16th and 1/8th of an inch too high (if you hold the table in portrait mode, with the camera lens at the top).

I am pretty sure all the cables are plugged correctly. When I first put it back together, I had a deadspot that was about half an inch wide, along with the calibration being off. I opened it up again and reseated the cables and the dead spot is fixed, but the calibration is still off).

Certainly hope there is some way to calibrate it. I mean, my old Palm Pilots all allowed you to calibrate the touch screen.

(It seems like there are ways to calibrate for HTC phones, but not for the Nexus.)

Thanks in advance.

as it is capacitive (respond to touch), not resistive (respond to pressure), there is no way to calibrate.

I don't know about taking it apart, but if you know how much it's off by, when not crack it back open and adjust the internal components (assuming you can, of course). That seems about the only way.
