Any word on Gingerbread update on Vibrant?

Apparently they say the phone can't handle 2.3.

That could be true. I have upgraded a couple of entry level phones from 2.1 to 2.2 and I've noticed they both slow down quite a bit. However, I upgraded the MyTouch 4g to 2.3.4 and it runs much better.

I'm sure that if the captivate and fasinate can handle 2.3 I don't see why the vibrant can't Altho there is no offical word on the other 2 phones getting it eather is there?

Me I am looking into getting an HTC Sensation 4G for my bday so lol I don't have any works I hope

I know my girl got her gingerbread update for her Epic 4g over the air 2 days ago thru sprint. I'm so jealous. She doesn't even want it! We're with the wrong phone company...

Have you thought about flashing cyanogen mod 7 on cuz im running right now and it works great,plus it is easy to install

Finally got the 'Critical Urgent' update notification from T-Mobile two days ago. I have to say, I'm very glad I have 20+ years of IT experience. I can't really imagine most users being comfortable backing up their internal data, installing Kies Mini, and praying.

Happy with the upgrade though...finally!
