Anybody else freezing?

I guess it's not a big deal, but has anybody else experienced any system "farts"?

I've had it a couple of times to where I click on youtube and it says, no connection, with the button "retry".. It only takes about 2-3 clicks for it to work. It's not that big of a deal, but sometimes youtube will load up blank and show the loading icon for a long time and never show anything.

The back button will stop working and so will the menu, the only way I can get out of it is by holding the HOME button then closing the browser App.

Also, I've noticed this same problem with facebook, it'll sometimes freeze my browser.

I was just wondering if anybody was having the same issue?
 
Yes!! My phone is doing this constantly and it's driving me crazy. I've tried different browsers, restarting the phone etc and its freezing all the time. I thought it was a network problem but I'm wondering if I should exchange now.
 
Mine started freezing 1st home screen wouldn't respond then browser was freezing then it all went tits up and wouldn't unlock with swipe plus home and back buttons wouldn't work.

O2 Guru in shop looked at phone and arrange an exchange
 
I was hoping more people would get involved and share their stories, because like all OS, they all fart at one point or another.. Is it something normal or should I go as far as to return the item for an exchange?

I wouldn't want to get a refurbished phone :|
 
it only happens to me is when i'm on Facebook for android. sometimes the page takes to long to load and i get the "connection lost tap to refresh" comment

Its gotta be a facebook for android issue... I know its not my S3 because I had the same issue happen to me on the HTC ONE X previously. I started noticing this maybe about 3 weeks ago or so. Once it started happening, I automatically blamed ATT's for a bad connection, but its still VERY SLOW. I usually get logged in (using H+) within maybe a min or so, but when i try to log out, it just takes FOREVER. And sometimes it says "Sorry but the facebook app was closed" or something like that.

Definitely an issue with facebook. I dont go on youtube much so i cant really comment on that.
 
I had a terrible phone lock experience. I aborted a video upload to Facebook and my phone started acting crazy. I was about to return it to VZW when I found the hard reset on the internet. My phone went to a factory reset and I reloaded all my apps again. It just like I have a new phone. But try the soft reset first (pushing the power button for 15 to 20 seconds).
 
Verizon exchanged my S3 for a new one with the new kernel. Guess what? Second phone is doing the same thing again. It's running bare bones. Going back to the Nexus. Dam shame, just a dam shame.
 
I have freezing issues with Facebook as well. I had the app, unstalled it as it was shyte. I have issues with Facebook both through stock browser and dolphin hd. I can load Facebook but it freezes when attempting to look at individual pictures and posts. I tried flipster but it isn't quite what I want and doesn't Always refresh.. I have also had freezing issues with tapatalk. Other than that the phone has been great.
 
only time mine froze so far was in "play music", I went to play a song, the phone froze, screen turned black "but you can see it was still lit" but I couldnt do anything with the phone, no response from any button, about 1 minute later it finally kicked in and started working fine again. First and only time so far it has frozen for me
 
Happens to me on a daily basis, usually the phone just won't turn on for ~2 minutes, starts getting super hot as if whatever is locking it up is maxing the CPU.

Read on XDA that this is a kernel issue and an OTA shold fix it, however a previous poster mentioned the new verizon update has not fixed it. I will probably get mine exchanged soon.
 
I only have had problems when using the fb app. When I use fb bookmark, I use desktop view and its fine. I hate the mobile view on anything.
 
Just bought S3 from Verizon yesterday. It froze on Facebook and YouTube. Returned it today for replacement and am having the same problem with the new one.

Update: The new phone is fine. Facebook Mobile was the problem. I downloaded the Android Facebook app and it works fine now. I'm so glad because I love this phone!
 
Facebook app is buggy, it won't load up certain things for me at times.

Youtube works fine for me.

I had one time where yahoo finance gave me a black screen for a few seconds, but life went on.

The homescreens are smoother than my iPhone 4 after the upgrade to iPhone 5
