Root anyone else having these problems with gingerbread?

So i just updated my n1 to 2.3.3 (modified GRI40) and it seems that my google accounts just completely disappear. Because of this i can't seem to open gmail and market at all. I have tried downloading two different roms and both do not let me use gmail or market.

Anyone else having similar problems?

Any help would be great

You're not using a ROM without GApps are you? Some AOSP ones require you to install them separately.
