How about John Fogerty going around performing CCR hits?

Is he billed as "CCR" or "Creedence Clearwater Revival" or using his own name? Or sometimes what they do is rehash the original name, something like "John Fogerty's CCR", or even could be "Creedence Clearwater Revival Revival"....LOL.

I know can go and see something called "Buddy Holly's Crickets", performing songs like Peggy Sue and That'll Be The Day. Obviously Buddy Holly is not around any more, but are there any original members of The Crickets playing, and not just session musicians or whatever.

Paul McCartney or Ringo Starr might still perform Beatles songs in their tours, but they're certainly not using the Beatles name in any way. I know there's tribute bands, like Bootleg Beatles. Saw a tribute version of Nirvana a few years ago, called Novana, they were awful.

He's usually just billed as John Fogerty.

his former band members also perform the old hits under the name Creedence Clearwater Revisited. Fogerty got a cease and desist against them in court, but it was eventually overturned.

One original member of the old Kingston Trio was around in 2012. They sang the national anthem at a playoff game. Nick Reynolds still going. They were billed as San Francisco's national treasure.
