Are 150,000 Incredibles enough???

Todd M

Android Enthusiast
Hello, first post. Been lurking for a little bit getting amped about the Incredible release. Will be going to it from a BB Storm that I've had a for 1 1/2 years and LOVE what Android has going. Been playing with an Eris to get the feel for when this bad boy breaks loose...

I know there have been pics of the VZW inventory showing 150,000+ Incredibles waiting to go to the stores and for online purchases. After reading the insanely huge Incredible thread, and seeing comments scattered around the 'Net, I can't help but think that 150,000 isn't going to be enough on release day. I have been contemplating taking release day off from work to get in what I can only imagine will be lines at the various VZW stores around my area (providing that they have it the same day as Best Buy is reporting but we won't know that for a short time IIRC).

Is 150,000 going to be enough to start?

I'm sure it will be enough to start, but just you like, I'll be there first thing in the morning to get mine

Definetly gonna wake up early to get mine too. Hope its on one of my off days so i can make sweet love to it all day ;)

Depending on how the availability plays out, I'll get it as soon as I can. I'd prefer to order it online to avoid the store, which is typically a mad house.

well i think theres not gunna be as much coverage from the media about it and since theres only 150k verizon is gunna heavily advertise it as much as the droid was

Don't know about you, but I won't have any issues picking one up. My brother is a business account rep, and he'll pick mine up for me on the release date.

LOL. Yeah, my wife thinks I am crazy if I am going to take the day off. Of course, she'd be pissed if I did what you're going to do, but I doubt we'd be the only ones! :D:eek:

I hope they have a few of them in my area, and I hope that not a lot of people around here read these forums!

If sold in stores, expect heavy sales. If online only, you will not have any problems. Also consider waiting a few weeks after launch to let the early bugs get worked out.

Do you think there will be a lot of bugs? Like should we wait a bit or just buy it right away? I've always been on the fence with this...What do you guys think about this...Buy right away and risk a few problems, or wait a bit?:confused:

I can't wait to put a stock ROM on so I can love Sense UI even more.

I have been searching/researching the ROM piece of Android, and I am getting confused by it. I know what ROMs are, but not sure which one(s) could be used and for what exact purpose on the phones.

Do you have a good address about these that I can add to my bookmarks so when that time comes I am ready?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Verizon known for heavily testing their phones? There shouldn't be any major bugs if they do.

I can correct you with one word... Storm... That's the POS I still have...

The Droid did have a lot of bugs once released.. Idk why? But it did.. But I would think it would be okay to buy the day of. If there's a problem you just exchange it at the store since you have a warranty..
