ATT Unlimited data from IPAD to Note 8

I have the unlimited data plan on my IPAD. I want to get the Note 8 and been told by the store it can not be done.

Has anyone done this? Can I get a SIM adaptor and move the sim from my IPAD to Android? Will I get LTE or get caught and cut off?

I can't imagine why this wouldn't work.SIM adapters are extremely inexpensive ($5.00 OR LESS),just try it out @ an AT&T store before committing to another device purchase.
