Auto sending sms to callers while doing another work

Hi Folks,
I want to take an idea regarding developing an application in android, actually I want that when I go to class or buzy in other work then I set a message and during my work ,i.e I m in class, when some one calls me or sends a text to me then the message that I set should be sent to the one who is texting me or calling me so that he/she may be able to know that why the reciever is not recieving the phone.
 
I thought I came across one before that will only let you hear the phone ring for calls calls that you want to get and all others get the auto respond. so for example if you are waiting on a emergency call say your wife any other calls that comes through will get the auto respond but when your wife call it will ID her number and allow that call to ring so you can hear it and pick up the phone

Did I really see this or was this a beautiful imagination?
