Root Battery and other issues

Sorry if Im in the wrong thread but I was wondering if anybody out there gets this oarange band around paragraphs wile browsing and even in DU battery savers internal menu inside messages it puts oarange band around icons inside the lil fishin game inside du im running GameTheorys Xperion ROM & Freedom kernel on the metroPCS LG Optimus F6 D500 4.1.2 its never happend till today on this ROM I thought I was free of it running this rom guess not. Ive read others have same issue & nobody we know of knows including myself where if there is an option to shut this oarange banner off

And does anybody have a workaround or good app to get better battery life mine sucks bad & Im rooted with custom rom & kernel & phones barely a year old, SUCKS

change your cpu governor to intellidemand. You probably have it on performance. Having the phone run at full speed all the time will drain the battery. Also make sure your brightness is all the way down if you want to save more.

Thanks ya I keep brightness to like 40 45% so cant be that Ive ran wakelock app nothings runnin tht shouldnt be & ya Ive been tbrough every freedom kernel settings there is bro Im even using battery saver setting in the app rootbooster still my battery shouldnt deplete this fast. I do keep a couple apps on in background for performance and other setup reasons I like but no differnt then when I first rooted this F6. hmmmmmm idk but thks 4 the feedback but Ive tried youre advice and many other settings still battery depleting waaaaaay to fast I get like a 1 percent battery drop every 2 3 mins if Im using network. only time battery has nice longevity is when screen is off lol. what kind of battery life are U gettin on ur F6 bro?

Anybody know if you wanna set sd card read ahead at higher values or lower to speed its read up? and anybody out there that has the freedom kernel overclocked knw why no matter what I set it to it changes itself to 648 mhz, not sure whats goin on Ive tried everything & I mean it puts itself at 648 no matter what reboot no reboot it doesnt matter. maybe its intellademand that makes it set at 648 I'll play around with it & see whats good or no good lol. anybody else have freedom kernel & do the settings change themselves on U too???

Strange, I use intellidemand and that's never happened to me. My settings always stay at what I set them to...

My current settings:
Min = 144 mhz (I keep min set to this at all times)
Max = 1.728 ghz
Gov = intellidemand
Sch = tripndroid

I have these settings set on boot.

Make sure you're not using some type of task killer or battery saver app that is killing the freedom app or whatever cpu control app you're using.

Also note that the hot reboot option in a rebooter app can cause a cpu control app to loose it's settings

I use youre reboot app and ya I do have du battery saver and du speedbooster but I have freedom kernel set to not be included in stopping background apps. not sure what "hot reboot" is but I do have settings to keep same settings after a reboot but even if I dnt reboot kill any apps any of that and same thing min stays at 144 no prob but max settings will not stay on anything but 648. she runs great otherwise, but ya setting in freedom kernel just will not remain at what I set it to & I've went through every possible combination seeing if ANYTHING will stick but always a no go idk man. but thks 4 answering my Question best U can ☺

Got er to stay on intelldemand max 1028 min 144 and cfq @ the moment 4 a moment, but after I log out of forums here or do anything or do nothing she just switches to 648 like clock work

I just uninstalled an app called rootbooster as I do beileve it sets kernel to certain settings wich there are 3 speed,batter saver, and stabe. Ive ran each setting & freedom kernel does its own thing anyway. since I uinstalled rootbooster my settings even stayed after reboot! Im gonna check er again now if shes where I set it I think I found & put a stop to the culprit hopefully.

Dang no dice she just wont stick. I wont report this matter again unless U respond I mean Ive said all I could on this issue. I noticed that the settings inside rom toolbox lites cpu clocker app and I dont touch those settings so no interfierance. yet I notice Freedom kernel and the cpu clocker app in rom toolbox change in unison so its nt the freedom kernel itself. Man I just dont know what else would cause settings of kernel to change itself always to 648 should I reinstall U think maybe I'll try uninstalling freedom kernel to test if rom toolbox cpu clocker settings will stay and vice versa Ill uninstall rom toobox & see if freedom kernel will stick with my settigs. Ughhhh so annoying Phone runs excellent other than my kernel has a mind of its own & Ive tried everything but the ubove mentioned Ugh Ill try it in the morning. thks anyway GameTheory

K srry so many issued bra, I figured out why settings in freedom kernel kept changing, I use antutu root battery saver and I had CPU control checked to run so I guess it would clock me low

Now that I have the freedom kernel free of any settings from other apps stopping/preventing the freedom kernels settings to stick, my battery lasts a lil longer. Anybody running Xperion ROM and/or Freedom kernel overclocked on the LG Optimus F6 D500. If anybody would mind shairing there battery longevity secrets pls fill me in, my battery should be lastin a lil longer here. I have sync off, no live wallpapers, a wakelock preventer, du battery saver, & antutu. I have tried having only one to two battery saver apps as it doesnt make alot of sense to eat more battery by have to many battery apps running in background or just suckin juice. As I stated above I use DU battery saver, antutu batt saver, and Amplify from out of Xposed framework mod, again Ive tried less battery saving apps & I get better batt life the way my setup is now & GameTheory & another gentelman put me up on a good kernel setting, thks again guys! anywho ya to all those with F6 getting good battery life with an app or setting a secret lol whatever, enlighten me to youre methods plz.

ps so I cant send emojis through Android Forums app. I heard there was an emoji panel er somthin in the browser version on the web obviously so ya Im basically askin if everybody/anybody has same issue sending emojis? when I try it out & test it & try to send emoji alone no message & it says I have to fill in a messsge to send, Im guessin thts just how it is using Android Forums. Idk I'll check web version 4 this emoji panel another member was talkin about. any feedback is always appreciated Id end this sentence with a winking emoji but it wont work so heres my send buttons smiley face ooooohhhh ahhhhhh big deal right lol :^)

Heres a screenshot of what I mean on how my network hangs at the end of webb page for tbe download, I would like 2 download kitkat theme but as U can see I cant if the page/link wont finish setting itself. weird too, Ive tested other sites and downloaded 2 games just fine, yet I cant download anything from Xperion rom link at this time. phones runnin great otherwise I have freedom kernel settings staying put, Ive rebooted, I even wiped cache & delvic for the heck of it. Im sure its only me like always but if U dnt mind testing out the link tht would be sweet & thks if U do. I tell ya issue after issue after issue with the most simplest of tasks ughhhhhhh One day this darn phone gonna run rite I tell ya. idk il keep testin till I figure it out I'll get er right somehow, just odd an I find myself running into sooooooo many walls yet rom is runnin spectacular other than this new issue with the network hang. Im srry as can be to even report this but U never knw it always could be an issue with link I knw I knw it prob works fine for U.

Curious as to how long youre battery lasts on F6 during any network activity/multitasking, IDK maybe U got a trick or 2 up ur sleeve/some sort of workaround/best freedom kernel setting 4 better battery longevity cuz mines real short, a member advised me to set kernel setting to intellademand 4 better battery so far I see lil if any difference, I have calibrated battwry with app built by somebody from XDA, yet Ive read different things like nt 2 let ur battery drop to 0 and shut down so Ive never let it drop past 15 20% except when I callibrated it I dropped it to 5% and I use healthy charge in DU batt saver app, I take real good care of battery an all aspects of proceeders actually nothing I dnt want or need to is running in background and I optimize often sooooooo ya, any hints would be sweet thanks in advance GameTheory

Srry if this is wrong thread Im new to these forums & still aint quite sure where 2 post random info or to ask questions exactly so pls bare with me folks I'll get er right soon, Anywho I posted earlyer about oarange band surrounding paragraphs inside browser when searching, if ur expieriencing this issue than U have web scripts on, go into ur settings accesability and scroll down a hair & u'll see and turn it off.

I skimmed through your posts since you made a few after my last post. Not sure if I caught everything...

Download link works just fine. Try a different browser on your phone or download it on your PC.

I get 2 days of battery with moderate usage (sometimes 3). However I only use my phone for texts, hangouts, chromecast, youtube, netflix, HBO, phone calls, browsing, and emails (I don't game). I only overclock when I need chrome browser, and youtube to render quickly since those apps are cpu/gpu intense. Everyone's mileage will vary though based on their usage.

Google play services draining the battery perhaps? http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/script-google-play-services-battery-t3059585

If you want to do a clean install to Carbon:

Remember to first backup any data to computer that you don't want to lose.*

Using free Minitool Partition Wizard, deleted old SD partition and make new partitions.

Partition 1 = FAT 32 Primary (~8/32 GB/GB)
Partition 2 = ext4 Primary (~24/32 GB/GB)

Steps for upgrade success (with working camera** & bluetooth):

1) transfer installation files to SD: ROM & Gapp & kernel & SD hack zips
2) do a full wipe of phone using TWRP advanced wipe with all options checked & reboot directly to TWRP (agree to let TWRP reinstall SuperSU)
3) insert SD into phone, mount, install ROM & gapp zips, reboot into system
4) let ROM load and setup (install & update important user apps)
5) reboot into TWRP
6) wipe cache, dalvik, install latest supercharged kernel
7) reboot into system, finish loading, then reboot into TWRP
8) install SD hack (init.d version)

*important since all data saved on SD and phone will be wiped
**if your camera doesn't work, at step 6, first flash the CM11 cam fix kernel then flash the supercharge kernel

Ya I downloaded a service disabler app off playstore followed directions and stopped by way of checkmarking the box labeled service update enabler or what not U guys knw what I mean to put a hault to any system update pushing so my battery life just may be a lil better and not drain as bad due to the update trying to do its thing in the background tho one never seemed to be running I knw there's a KitKat update for my F6 which at this time I'm on 4.1.2, JB because Im running 4.1.2 Xperion ROM but ya U knw just in case I wanted to make sure no updates were trying to do it's thing all the while suckin my precious batt juice trying to run the update.

And again I got rid of DU batt saver and speedbooster, and Earlymon & Hadron & some other great tech minded mojo's said to me a bro just let android do its own thing . task killing and all that is snakeoil. I am still wondering how its a bad thing to kill/stop a background process idk seamed like I had better battery life when I was stopping say an app I just exited and was still running in the background unnecessarily still because I was using it before I closed the app.

Another gentleman asked me the valid question, hey bro how U knw U killed an apps background process? and I had said because after I ran background apps through DU's Aurora engine to put a stop to its draining my battery more by running in the background when it doesn't need to be for any affiliated reason it would be stopped and how I know is I would check GSAM or other various ways to see what is all running and not. so ya I'm still plugging away at getting the best battery life I can get out of this device and ROM and kernel I'm running.
