what do you guys think is better? advanced task killer? or the other one called task killer? and what else is out there to see whats running as far as apps and services?
and also, im using the free advanced task killer, and everytime i open it i see that theres a bunch of apps i have not opened, open, is there a way to stop these apps from opening?
SystemPanel is the way to go. i was using ATK, but uninstalled it after i got SystemPanel. it gives way more info as well. paid and free versions available.

+SystemPanel Pro, gives you more information (graphs the app's CPU/battery usage) that helps you find what's eating up your battery.
Search the Forums, this topic is discussed extensively...but you really shouldn't be killing your apps unless they are coded badly without an exit feature.
