Big Reveal set for tonight!

After the Mate 8 was announced for the global version, but excluded the US, it got me thinking. honor is being marketed as a brand, rather than one of Huawei's flagship device versions. Could it be that the way that Huawei will be breaking into US sales, is to market Huawei phones as "honor" phones, rather than under the bigger Huawei brand? I'm just thinking about it similarly to how Lenovo, when it purchased Motorola, still kept the Motorola branding for the US phones, but still will be creating other phones Internationally under the Lenovo banner?

After all, the contact email on the http://www.hihonor.com/us/ website is a Huawei email address:
honor.us@huawei.com

Now, I'm a little 'bit more curious what will be announced tonight under the "honor" branding.

I'm curious as well, but, only if offered via carrier(s), & just in general, the features in relation to value.

I wouldn't mind if they offered as project fi compatibility, so the phones could be used on any provider. I just don't know if they will offer a phone that will suit my needs.

That's a good thought and is making me happy, because I was disappointed the M8 8 excluded us.

I also wonder if it will just be a re-hash of the Honor 7i that was already announced in China. If so, that will be a pass for me

It definitely is a good theory. It would allow them to bypass the whole 'Americans can't pronounce the name Huawei properly' issue.

The Honor USA #NoNonsense Pre-CES party is tonight at 9 PM PDT. We look forward to sharing what we have planned for the US!
