Help Bluetooth connectivity with Music System in a car

I have a Ford figo with a music system that allows bluetooth connectivity. When i enable bluetooth and try to pair and connect, i just get an error message: "Error connecting to Ford- My connection" in my phone. "Connection Error" appears on the music system.

According to the dealer, it is supposed to ask me for a password but my phone never did so far. I assume that is the reason. How do i enter password for my car in my phone?

When I was pairing my phone to my car ( I have a newer Ford with SYNC ) the password would show up in the radio's display. The first thing that comes to mind is what version of Android are you running ?? I haven't tried to pair lately, but the last I tried with GAOSP, the best I could do is pair, but not connect.

I am using 2.2 GAOSP. So do i assume that i just can't connect with this version?

Yep, that's right. They will work on it after the GAOSP hits 1.00 release.
So if you want to have bluetooth connectivity you must use Galaxo.
