woke up early to go to the sprint store, bought it and immediately put it in the box to return. Too cheap and flimsy for me. The amazon exclusive sedio case looks intriguing.

I had the sprint rep take one out of their display case so I could feel it. Seemed pretty craptastic to me so I opted for a cheap silicone case until the otterbox comes out. Glad to hear I made the right choice. Hopefully they'll return it for you.

Once the body glove case is on the evo its pretty sturdy. I like how it extends past the camera so when you set it down it doesnt scratch the lens.And it also sets the screen in slightly so if you put it down on the face it wont scratch the screen. Its thin around the volume rocker but really not a big issue for me. I came from a palm pre previously and went through 5 different Pre's, most of them due to crappy hardware, like the dreaded oreo effect. A little bit of flex by the volume is ok with me.
If anyone is having trouble taking it of for any reason, there is a slot on the side to stick a coin in and twist for easy removal.
