Root [Boost Mobile] Having a tough time.

I'm currently running HaloBean 4.8. I love it. However, being a flashaholic, I wanted to try out both DroidSmith 1.73 and the new HaloBean test. However, I have tried to flash both from two completely separate micro-sd's, and from both CWM and TWRP. I have downloaded both zip files via OneBrowser, BoatBrowser, Angel Browser, and Windows browsers, and tried from the stock android (which promptly failed). Everytime, it says the zip file is bad. :(

Nothing is working, and I'd rather not wipe everything, simply because I can't seem to flash any rom except bean 4.8. Does anyone else have any suggestions? :o

I would try making a nandroid then use the online upgrade tool to return to stock, then easyroot-CWM, then flash HB and restore data from advanced restore in CWM, then back up everything properly with Titanium Backup and flash whatever ya need from there.

Yeah, tried both wifi and 3g. Also cleared the cache in the hopes that would work. Never really had this problem before, even with the dozens of flashes i've already done. Typically changing the download between browsers worked...I guess I'll try a full wipe and factory reset.

Edit: Due to how late (rather early) it is, and the fact that I just saw skinny's post below, I will not wipe. I suppose I will re-root tomorrow after classes. We'll see how I feel after fluid dynamics...

Have you made sure that signature checking is off?

Easy mistake to make, done it myself before, Hows it going? Get into recovery to falsh a rom yet.

I used to flash CTMod when all else failed, got me back on track to flash other roms, might help.

Returned the phone to stock (yuck). Just reinstalled cwm. zip files for warp oem 2.53, halobean 5 point one, and DS1.73 full are not functional. I will try to download fresh copies once more. Signature checking and md5 are both off (they both always give me errors, so I don't use them, but good thought!)

Try this, Is halo bean flashed and working? If so then down load super wipe tool, find it it the ATRG.

Ok, Now boot into recovery, flash superwipe one time only, next, do a factory data reset TWICE!!, Clear cache, and dalvek TWICE. Now try and flash Droid smith or any other rom you want to try, Clear Cache and Dalkek AGAIN!!. Try to reboot the rom you flashed and enjoy!!

I, Like you, have flashed hundreds of roms and updates, flashed test kernels, etc. I have had similar problems like this myself. You need to completety super wipe, Factory data reset, clear caches, Multiple times before flashing a rom of your choice. Then reboot and see what happens.

But, I'm serious about CTMod 3.80, It always flashes fine for me no matter what, Then the phone somehow becomes stable, Now you can flash different roms of your own choosing after CTMod is installed and running. I do not know why this works, but it just does.

So, I just tried the super-wipe and multiple wipes of all of the aforementioned steps, and droidsmith, downloaded from both firefox and opera did not work. i will download CTMod and see what happens next. Thanks for the suggestions so far guys! I do appreciate it.

Flash failed. I'm going to move all the items on my sd card to my computer and reformat the card. Any suggestions as to how to format it besides CWM? Otherwise I will just use CWM's sd format.

Ok, Use your recovery to format the card, not windows or linux, Let the recovery format option do it for you.

GAHHHH. SD Format went through, but now I can't even mount the card. Neither card will mount in fact. I'm restoring the phone to stock since I forgot to re-install bean 4.8 ><. Downloading roms to move to my sdcard, which is currently in the card reader in my laptop. I will try to get it functioning again, and will re-root the phone. Wish me luck.

WoooOOOOOooo! Format of the sd card to FAT32 via miniaide on windows allowed for the install of warp-oem. I am certain things will work now. Thank you for all your help guys!
